This piece was inspired by a local notorious stretch of water, just off the Isle of Portland. It’s called ‘The Portland Race’, and is where several tidal currents meet causing turbulent and at times quite ferocious waves. It has quite a fearsome reputation and catches out several sailors every year!
This piece is displayed on a simple but beautiful piece of hand crafted British oak.
